When we began work on this building, it had lost its roof and was in a state of extreme decay. We negotiated to stabilize one half of a city block and to restore a small portion for the Atlanta Gas Light Company. The project consisted of 28,000 SF of offices. In addition, we had to lower the foundation of a portion of the building by 5 feet to get in a basement. This called for meticulous construction techniques, due to the fragile nature of the old brick walls.
